If you’ve stayed at the Asfiya Sea View Hotel before, you’ll immediately notice the difference.
Following an extensive refurbishment under new ownership, the hotel reopened its doors in June 2026, revealing an entirely new design concept. The familiar white-and-blue interiors have given way to a warmer, more contemporary palette of earthy terracotta tones, natural stone, timber and tactile textures, creating a boutique hotel that feels both sophisticated and unmistakably Mediterranean.
Its spectacular position overlooking Kalkan Bay remains exactly as guests have always loved it. Everything else has been thoughtfully transformed.
We’re still awaiting the professional photography, but having recently visited the hotel ourselves, we wanted to offer an early glimpse of what guests can now expect.
A New Chapter for Asfiya Sea View Hotel
For many years, Asfiya Sea View Hotel has been one of the most popular boutique hotels in Kalkan. Guests return year after year for its spacious and sea facing accommodation, panoramic sea views and easy walk into the harbour, where rooftop restaurants, independent boutiques and waterfront cafés define one of the prettiest corners of Turkey’s Turquoise Coast.
Today, the hotel enters an exciting new chapter.
Whilst Asfiya Sea View Hotel is now under new ownership, guests will be pleased to know that the day-to-day operation remains in experienced hands. The hotel continues to be overseen by Ahmet, whose team also manages the neighbouring Likya Gardens and Likya Pavilion, two boutique hotels that have long been favourites with our guests.
That continuity matters. It preserves the warmth of the welcome whilst allowing the hotel to evolve in an entirely new direction.
What Has Changed at Asfiya Sea View Hotel?
Rather than simply replacing furniture or refreshing decoration, the owners have adopted an entirely different design philosophy.
The crisp white-and-blue exteriors that many returning guests will remember have been replaced by richer Mediterranean colours inspired by the surrounding landscape. Terracotta, warm timber, natural stone and tactile fabrics now sit comfortably alongside contemporary lighting and bespoke furnishings.
Importantly, the transformation hasn’t altered what made the hotel so appealing in the first place. The spectacular sea views remain, the generous terraces continue to frame Kalkan Bay, and the hotel’s peaceful atmosphere has been preserved.
Every Room Category Has Been Refreshed
One of the questions we’ve already been asked is whether only certain rooms have been refurbished. The answer is no.
Every accommodation category has benefited from the hotel’s new design concept.
Whether you choose a Sea View Room, Swim Up Room, Private Pool Room, Deluxe Pool Room or the hotel’s beautiful Signature Pool Room, you’ll find the same contemporary styling carried consistently throughout the property.
Guests looking for hotels in Kalkan with private pools can continue to choose from the Private Pool Rooms, Deluxe Pool Room and Signature Pool Room, whilst those searching for swim-up rooms in Kalkan will still find direct pool access from the hotel’s popular Swim Up Rooms.
It’s this variety of accommodation that has always made Asfiya Sea View Hotel particularly appealing, whether travelling as a couple, celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a little more space.
Contemporary Mediterranean Living
The refurbishment extends well beyond the guestrooms.
Throughout the hotel, the interiors and outdoor spaces now share a consistent design language, with warm earthy tones, natural timber, textured stone and carefully selected contemporary furnishings creating a calm, understated atmosphere.
The open-plan restaurant, lounge and bar now flow seamlessly onto the surrounding terraces, allowing guests to move effortlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day. Whether enjoying breakfast in the morning sunshine, a leisurely lunch overlooking Kalkan Bay or a pre-dinner drink as the lights begin to twinkle across the harbour, the emphasis is on relaxed Mediterranean living.
Around the swimming pools, generous sun terraces, shaded pergolas and comfortable seating areas have been thoughtfully styled to complement the hotel’s new aesthetic, while the uninterrupted sea views remain, as always, the hotel’s greatest luxu

Is Asfiya Sea View Hotel Under New Ownership?
Yes. The hotel reopened in June 2026 following its refurbishment under new ownership.
However, operationally there is reassuring continuity. The experienced management team led by Ahmet continues to oversee the hotel, alongside Likya Gardens and Likya Pavilion, ensuring that guests can expect the same attentive service whilst enjoying an entirely new environment.
Where Should You Stay in Kalkan?
There is no single answer to that question because every traveller is different.
If you’re looking for a lively rooftop restaurant scene, somewhere within walking distance of the harbour and a contemporary boutique hotel offering sea views together with a choice of swim-up rooms, private pool rooms and spacious terraces, then Asfiya Sea View Hotel now deserves to be firmly on your shortlist.
For returning guests, the transformation will come as something of a surprise.
For first-time visitors, it simply feels like one of Kalkan’s freshest boutique hotels.
