Cefalu stands at the top of a beautiful bay on the verdant green North Sicilian coast, dominated by and impressive headland rising up over this lovely old town. Once you enter the medieval centre of Cefalu you find yourself in a charming myriad of cobbled streets teeming with boutique, trattorias and ice cream parlours. Right in the centre of this delightful and bustling centre is a fabulous square dominated by the most impressive Norman Cathedral – where people gather in the evenings to sip their aperitivo at one of the many stylish cafes and watch the world go by.
As a holiday resort, Cefalu really has it all – a beautiful sandy beach and a gorgeous town with plenty of facilities – all within easy walking distance of each other. This once sleepy fishing village has, over the years turned into one of the most popular resorts in Sicily, and justifiably so.
