Villa Elea – A Sweet Coastal Retreat with Sea Views
Tucked into the heart of the Braunis Horio estate, Villa Elea is a beautifully simple, thoughtfully designed two-bedroom villa that blends comfortable coastal style with panoramic views over Assos Bay and towards Myrtos Beach. Named after the Greek word for “olive”, Elea is enveloped by the natural scents and soft light of Kefalonia’s hillsides, offering a tranquil retreat for families, couples or two friends travelling together.
This villa may be less contemporary than some of its neighbours, but what it offers is a warm, inviting character, with clever use of space and plenty of nooks and cosy corners perfect for curling up with a book, a glass of wine, or simply the view.
Interiors
Inside, Villa Elea is bright and fully air-conditioned, with two bedrooms and a layout that balances space with intimacy. The entrance opens onto a fully equipped white kitchen, leading directly out to the swimming pool terrace where uninterrupted views stretch across the Ionian.
A half-set of steps rises to the open-plan lounge and dining area, where a vaulted wooden ceiling and large windows create an airy, light-filled space that looks out over the bay. From here, wooden stairs lead up to a romantic gallery-style master double bedroom, with warm floors and a vaulted ceiling overlooking the living area below.
On the ground floor, a twin bedroom opens onto a small terrace with steps up to the pool – a perfect arrangement for families or friends seeking both privacy and shared space. t
Outdoor Living
The villa’s sea-facing terrace is ideal for embracing slow Mediterranean days. A built-in barbecue and alfresco dining area set the scene for relaxed suppers, with the sea and Myrtos Beach as your backdrop. The private pool terrace feels spacious and inviting, with ample room for sunbathing, reading, or simply watching the colours change across the water.
At the end of the garden, steep steps descend to the seafront, where a small rock swimming platform offers direct access to the sea. Confident swimmers can reach a small, secluded beach roughly 200 m away – usually only accessible by boat.

It’s close enough to Assos village to dip in and out of the action, yet feels wonderfully private. Stylish accents, soft light, and mesmerising sea views make this a villa that quietly draws you in – and makes it hard to leave.
Please note that Villa Elea is located up a very steep hill, so a hire car is particularly useful at this villa, although not essential. This villa is not suitable for those with walking difficulties.
Please note that the balcony structures around the villas are of a horizontal design and therefore not suitable for young children. We recommend that families take this into consideration before confirming a reservation.
