Who better to curate the perfect week in Kalkan than someone who lives and breathes it? Our Overseas Manager has drawn on her local knowledge and this season’s guest favourites to shape a dreamy seven-day itinerary — from sunrise yoga and lazy gulet days to rooftop suppers and barefoot afternoons at the beach club. Each moment is shaped by someone with an ear to the ground and a genuine love for this extraordinary place.
Monday
Ease into holiday mode with a gentle morning yoga session led by Olga at Indigo Beach Club — calm, sea-facing, and open to all levels. It’s an easy-going, welcoming start to the week. Afterwards, head inland up into the Taurus Mountains to the village of Bezirgan for a traditional Turkish breakfast (kahvalti) at Pirha Koy. Here, warm flatbreads (bazlama) are served straight from the oven beneath the walnut trees, accompanied by a thoughtfully laid-out table of savoury and sweet delicacies, plus fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables. Time drifts easily in this peaceful garden setting — the perfect place to embrace the Turkish art of keyif — the sweetness of doing nothing.
Spend the afternoon lounging by the pool (travelling with children? CanCan, a local minimarket, offers a huge range of inflatables and even delivers to your door).
Come evening, head to Mey Meze Rooftop — a much-loved local favourite set in a traditional whitewashed building with turquoise shutters. Owner Yiğit and his team always offer a warm welcome, and the terrace boasts sweeping bay views and consistently good cooking. Round off the night with a cocktail at Mini Bar — relaxed, intimate and open to the stars.
Tuesday
Time to indulge and get your skin prepped for the sun. Book into the Oasis Hotel Spa for a traditional hammam and massage — one of the best-value treatments in town and a calm, understated spot to reset.
For dinner, head to Korsan Fish Terrace. Perched above the harbour, it offers uninterrupted views across the Mediterranean. While famed for its fish, the menu also caters well to varied tastes — ideal for families or groups. The Fisherman’s Feast is a great choice for something generous and flavour-packed.
Wednesday
By midweek, it’s time to slow down by the sea. Choose Likya Beach Club for peace and privacy, or Kalamar Beach Club for snorkelling and easy swimming. Nearby, the Kalkan Dive Centre — a long-established, family-run business — offers everything from beginner try-dives to PADI certifications and advanced underwater excursions.
As the sun dips, book dinner at Likya Pavilion — just a few minutes from the harbour, with well-spaced tables and widescreen sea views. Their à la carte menu is relaxed but refined, and on Wednesdays they host live acoustic music.
Later, enjoy a nightcap at Taraca Bar & Restaurant — an elevated rooftop setting perfect for watching the yakamoz — the moon’s shimmering reflection across the water.
Thursday
After a leisurely breakfast, make your way into town for Kalkan’s Thursday Market. The locals shop early, and so should you. Here you’ll find sun-warmed tomatoes, herbs, cheeses, olives, handmade olive oil soaps, sweet treats, colourful fabrics, ceramics, and — let’s say — some impressively convincing designer-inspired souvenirs.
As evening falls, Indigo Beach Club transforms into a barefoot open-air cinema beneath the stars. Before the film, dine at Olive Garden — a laid-back, well-loved spot above the harbour known for its generous meze platters and perfectly positioned sunset tables.
Friday
Spend the day at Zest Beach Club — barefoot, stylish and relaxed. The saltwater infinity pool, sleek bathing platforms, and gentle vibe make it easy to settle in for the day. Their wood-fired flatbreads are a lunchtime highlight, and the drinks list ranges from cocktails and detox juices to indulgent milkshakes. As golden hour arrives, the resident DJ sets the mood with just the right energy — atmospheric, not overpowering.
For dinner, make your way to Sade — a very small and intimate rooftop restaurant known for its excellent steak, attentive service and unpretentious charm.
Saturday
Now that you have built a strong base tan, it’s time to take to the water. Charter a private gulet for a full-day cruise — swimming, reading and drifting from one bay to the next. Stop at Heybeli Island or Frank Bay for an invigorating dip in spring-fed waters. Lunch is freshly prepared on board — typically grilled fish, seasonal vegetables and a colourful spread of traditional meze.
Return to shore in time for dinner at Seaport — a harbourside favourite with candlelit tables overlooking the public beach. It’s a great spot for people-watching and catching locals swimming in the soft light of evening.
Sunday
Enjoy a long, lazy lie-in before the journey home calls. Sip your coffee slowly on the terrace or join Olga for one final yoga session — her warm welcome and calm energy always linger.
For your final dinner, book a table at the Oasis Hotel Rooftop — relaxed and unfussy, with a varied à la carte menu blending Turkish and Mediterranean flavours. The setting is as inviting as the team — a warm and convivial end to the week, and the kind of place where guests start planning their return before dessert has even arrived.
