The Minos Ambassador opened its doors in summer 2023, bringing a new guest experience to Rethymno. The hotel boasts a good location nestled among the rooftops of downtown Rethymno and only a kilometer from the bustling town centre. Guests will enjoy the convenience of being just footsteps from the golden sands of Rethymno beach and just a short walk from the historical centre. The Minos Ambassador is a blissful and affordable sanctuary, ideal for a quick flop and drop due to only being a short distance from the airport. The adult only concept promises relaxation and a laid back atmosphere, having only opened for just one season it is already known for its excellent approach to guest service. The swimming pool occupies the best space in the hotel, on the rooftop surrounded by plenty of day beds and with far-reaching sea views.
Entrance to the Minos Ambassador is via a bridge from the Minos Hotel which is a family-friendly concept. Guests staying at the Minos Ambassador are still invited to use the facilities of the sister hotel but are reminded this area is family friendly, there is a swimming pool and also table tennis should you wish to engage in some relaxed activity.
Each of the fifty one new suites are manicured to perfection. All have been designed and inspired by warm Cretan colours together with comfy bed linens, plenty of space and thoughtful amenities to ensure you have everything you need to relax and unwind comfortably. Furnishings and finishing touches are bohemian – the unprecedented space and comfort provided allows guests to relax comfortably in their own private space without interruption and with everything they could possibly need.
The hotel is offered on a half board basis, with breakfast and dinner served at the Elia rooftop restaurant. The design of the restaurant is comfortable and contemporary, it is the ideal spot for leisurely breakfasts with everything you could possibly need to kick off the day. The restaurant enjoys an inside-outside concept so you can make the most of the glorious Cretan climate. Dinner is a genuine treat with plenty of Greek and Mediterranean dishes for guests to sample. After dinner why not enjoy a gorgeous cocktail whilst watching the twinkling lights of Rethymno. While the hotel is offered on a half board basis, we highly recommend wandering into the town and soaking up the wonderful local scene and enormous choice of excellent tavernas.
For us the Minos Ambassador is all about the entire Rethymno experience, the hotel is simple, boho and comfortable and is yet only footsteps from the centre of Rethymno. The convenient location allows guests to dip in and out of the action easily and when you like. As you walk along the narrow streets of Rethymno, you will come across evidence of all civilizations that made this beautiful place their home. Wander through the Venetian Port, the castle of Fortezza, the most well-known landmark of the city and the picturesque quarter of Kiouloumpasi.
