A refined, elegant, luxury hotel right in the heart of magical Taormina

This charming and rather luxurious restored villa was originally built by English architect Robert Charles Ashbee in 1908, and despite sitting regally in the very heart of Taormina, it has a distinctive British flair which can been noticed throughout this sumptuous hotel.

Each of the 24 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites are unique, each furnished with antique furniture and beautiful paintings.  Some rooms are located in the main villa, whilst others are in a separate annexe, but all are designed with the utmost comfort and style in mind.

As you walk through the hotel out on to the main terrace, you can’t help but be a little overwhelmed by the simply stunning panoramic view out over the manicured garden filled with birdsong, across the beautiful infinity pool and out over the Sicilian and Calabrian coastline of mainland Italy.

The sophisticated St. George restaurant has recently gained a well-deserved Michelin star, so expect elegant fine dining in the evenings, of course, with that fabulous panoramic view in warmer months.  The buffet breakfast and light lunch are a more relaxed affair and can be enjoyed in the shade of the olive trees by the Pool Club Bar.  There is also the Terrace Bar for cocktails or perhaps a pre-dinner sun-downer.

The Ashbee is ideally located in the heart of Taormina, within easy walking distance of the many charming boutiques, trattorias and restaurants, there is a shuttle service to the beach operated by the hotel, or why not go by cable car which is located close to the hotel.
