Transfer from Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) to The Wallawwa for an overnight stay, allowing you to rest and acclimatize. (Approx. 20 minutes)

After breakfast, depart your hotel and journey to Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle, a scenic 3.5-hour drive. This afternoon, experience a tranquil kayaking adventure at Ulagalla’s ancient Wanamaduwa Tank, dating back to the third century AD. Gal Oya Lodge Special Notes:
- A rustic and close to nature property
- There is no Wifi and no mobile coverage during your stay at Gal Oya Lodge. Please note that the road that leads to the lodge is average country road with pot holes.
- The rooms are not air conditioned. The wash room is open to the sky and exposed to nature and elements. The pathway leading upto the rooms are uneven. It's approximately 45 minute drive from the boat ride to Gal Oya Lodge and another 45 minutes from Gal Oya Lodge to Game drive entrance gate.
- The Monkey Mountain hike can be a little challenging towards the final part of the journey and therefore please wear good hiking boots.
- There is a mosque and a temple close by and there can be mixed reviews (some people feel it is part of life in Sri Lanka and adds to the atmosphere and sounds of Sri Lanka while some other people feel bit more overwhelmed)

- Please note that the swimming pool is unheated, allowing you to fully embrace the fresh hill country air.
- While air conditioning is not provided in the rooms, the cooler temperatures of the hills render it unnecessary; we recommend bringing an extra layer for added comfort during your stay.
