Here we sit in the evening sun, sipping an ice cold gin and tonic looking across to the pretty Turkish bay of Selimiye https://discerningcollection.com/destinations/kumlubuk-and-the-bozburun-peninsula/, watching the local fisherman as they come in from their day. Feeling as sense of achievement after walking some of the beautiful Carian Way, a world renowned path, which meanders through the Bozburun Peninsula.
This is just one of the delightful walks located around the lovely Poseidon hotel https://discerningcollection.com/hotels/poseidon-hotel/
that we are featuring for the first time this year. The lovely manager Huseyin had shown us the walks on the maps and explained that we could just sample part of it if we weren’t too energetic. So he kindly dropped and picked up so we could experience some of the beautiful path but for just a couple of hours. He has great knowledge of this area and is happy to help you get the most from it. If you prefer to explore by car then he can also advise you on the best parts to explore and help you plan your days. Alternatively simply relax by the pool or on the small beach in front of the hotel.
The Poseidon Hotel offers the perfect retreat to escape the stresses and strains of everyday life. The rooms are simple and elegantly furnished and all have views out across the bay, which is just delightful. There is a larger terrace on the first floor where you can relax at any time of the day and the hotel are happy to serve you drinks or even breakfast/dinner there instead of the main restaurant. Nothing is too much trouble in this gem of a boutique hotel.
The hospitality from Huseyin and his team was first class. Dining on huge array of meze, prawns, squid and sea bass, I feel a longer walk tomorrow may be in order!
After a few days here we are off to the Asfiya Sea View https://discerningcollection.com/hotels/asfiya-sea-view-hotel/ in Kalkan for our second week, which I feel is going to be the perfect match.
