Las Terrazas de Abama Suites is a luxurious sanctuary of peace and tranquility surrounded by native vegetation, thousands of palm trees, and the green expanse of Abama’s golf course. The resort grounds comprise more than 400 acres of land embraced by Tenerife’s glorious natural landscape and the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean, with the island of La Gomera and stunning sunsets on the horizon.
The spacious suites were designed by award-winning architects and range from 1 to 4 bedrooms, perfect for families and groups of every size. All the accommodations have private open terraces of 28-123 m² that provide the utmost privacy and look onto sweeping ocean panoramas. Guests can luxuriate in the serenity of any of the three infinity pools with breathtaking views, or indulge in the sun-kissed ambiance of Abama Beach. Children will be inspired by their time at the Abama Kids Camp, 2000 m² of open space dedicated to entertaining and educational experiences for guests 4-14 years of age.
The dining establishments run by the hotel include Melvin by Martín Berasategui, whose sophisticated menu comprises Basque meat, local fish, and traditional rice dishes in creative preparations backed by 40 years of experience. Over in the central Plaza Abama, we find Tágara restaurant, a gourmet twist on Canary Islands cuisine set in elegant surroundings overlooking the ocean. At Sunway Pool Bar, guests can enjoy refreshments and light fare without renouncing the sun, the ocean breeze, or the incredible views from the pool terrace. And Ámbar Gastro Bar is the perfect place to meet and gather in our cozy indoor lounge or outside on the terrace to watch the sun set.
Sandára Wellness & Spa, Abama is an exclusive space of repose designed to invigorate the senses and balance body and mind. Its multi-sensory beauty and wellness treatments have been designed in collaboration with global luxury brands Anne Semonin and Mesoestetic, providing personalized and results-oriented approaches to clients’ needs. The facilities include 6 treatment rooms, two of which are doubles, a water circuit, a hair salon, and a nail salon.
Abama’s Golf Club comprise a prizewinning 18-hole Dave Thomas-designed golf course and a professionally equipped Tennis Center. Both programs benefit from academies that offer instruction to players of all levels and ages. Their spectacular setting between the Teide National Park and the Atlantic Ocean makes for unforgettable sporting experiences. All the facilities are seamlessly connected by the resort’s complimentary transfer service for guests.
SERVICE NOTE
As part of ongoing enhancements to Las Terrazas, scheduled improvement works will be taking place to the pool areas as outlined below:
Pool 1
- 14th April – 5th of May: Initial works (phase with higher levels of noise and dust)
- 6th May – 21st of June: Main construction phase (no significant disturbances expected, although staff will be working in the area)
- Late June: Final adjustments and preparation
Expected reopening: 1st July 2026
Pool 2
- 24th August – 15th September: Initial works (possible noise and dust)
- 16th September – 21st November: Main construction phase (no significant disturbances expected, with staff present in the area)
- 22nd November – Mid-December: Final adjustments and preparation
Expected reopening: 15th December 2026
Please note that throughout all work periods, 2 out of the 3 hotel pools will remain available.
