Experience
A Cultural and Scenic Journey around Puglia and Matera
Our guided journey of Southern Italy provides Discerning Collection guests with a rare opportunity to explore a face of Italy that has remained virtually untouched and aloof from the touristis glare. Over a duration of 9 nights you will have the opportunity to journey across an awe-inspiring landscape; where vineyards cling to the countryside, sandy coves pebble the shoreline, subterranean cave dwellings sit hidden out of sight and geological formations pepper the horizon.
We take in the region’s highlights, which include; Alta Murgia National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site Castel Del Monte, the seaside town of Polignano a Mare, Lucan Dolomites and the medieval village of Castelmezzano, fresco covered cave dwellings in Sassi, the so-called white town of Ostuni and the Roman Amphitheatre in Lecce.
There will also be plenty of opportunities to enjoy local lifestyle experiences such as a street food supper in Bari, a private cookery class preparing ‘la cucina povera’ and a visit to a family-run farm- famous for it’s production of Capocollo of Martina Franca a famous regional cold cut of pork.
