The Cayo Exclusive Resort and Spa is a seriously elegant design hotel. Exceptional attention to detail is demonstrated throughout the Cayo Hotel Concept. Interiors have been paired by Milanese designer Gian Paolo Venier who took his inspiration from the culture and natural landscape of the island- where possible combining local artisan’s craftmanship with modern furnishings, fittings, and cool neutral tones. Even the selected materials for the project are those rich in the history of Greece, white marble, volaka marble and terracotta. All of which have been handpicked to provide guests with a sense of connection to their surrounds. All of the menu’s at Cayro’s four restaurants have been lovingly created by Greece’s first Michelin Star Chef- Chef Lefteris Lazarou. Plates are curated using the finest local ingredients and inspired by Mediterranean flavours.

Ambrosia

Ambrosia is the hotel’s primary buffet style restaurant. In Ancient Greek Mythology, the consumption of Ambrosia was a delicacy reserved for divine beings such as Greek Gods. According to Homer’s poems ambrosia and nectar were only suitable for the gods.

Sage & Thyme

Located in a stunning poolside setting the restaurant surveys the famous islet of Spinalonga- a UNESCO World Heritage nominee. The restaurant is open for lunch and a la carte snack- mezze style cuisine.

Kelari Gourmet

As the sun sets Kelari Gourmet is the perfect venue to round off another day at Cayro Resort. Enjoy stunning views across the sparkling sea and sample delicious and traditional Cretan Cuisine executed in a minimal modern style.

Stone Beach House

The Stone Beach House is the hotel’s beachfront taverna. The restaurant overlooks the picture-postcard village of Plaka and the island of Spinalonga. The Menu includes divine signature cocktails and delicious Cretan Light Bites.

Greek Taverna- Filema

New for the 2024 season, a traditional Greek taverna concept boasting quintessential Greek favorites with modern flare. This restaurant is located in the main hotel.

Cayo’s Spot by the Beach

Guests are invited to soak up the sounds of the sea at Cayo’s spot by the beach. Located just 250 from the hotel in the nearby village of Plaka. Residents can either wander down on foot or take the hotel shuttle service which is available throughout the day between 10.00-19.00.

The picturesque seaside village of Plaka is just 250m below the hotel. Once a quaint fishing village and only frequented by a very small number of independent travellers. Today, the village is still small and retains so much charm and character while giving the impression that time stopped here several centuries ago. The benefit of us booking your flights means that you are completely covered for all the services and your booking will be booked as a package holiday under our ATOL licence which means you have complete peace of mind. Payments:

To book a holiday we require a deposit of 50% of the accommodation cost with the balance due at least 10 weeks prior to arrival. Plus the full cost of the flights if arranged by The Discerning Collection.
