Wander through colourful markets

Known locally as the Windy City, Essaouira is a wonderful choice for a few nights stay. Almost a miniature Marrakech, Essaouira has a small, vibrant Medina with many restaurants, markets and cafes waiting to be discovered.
There is a long, sweeping sandy beach, popular with water sports enthusiasts as the Atlantic breeze makes conditions perfect for keen wind and kite surfers. Essaouira is a town full of character and charm, a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the many seafood restaurants and souks or simply chill out on a riad roof terrace watching the seagulls soar overhead.
Just south of Essaouira is the small village of Sidi Kaouki, here the focal point is its long stretch of sandy beach, famous for its array of water sports on offer. Just a few steps away are the charming Rebali Riads, a beautiful boutique hotel with luxurious suites for a couple of guests or whole riads are available for larger groups.
The sleepy town of Oualidia is a real gem; this sleepy fishing village boasts just a handful of hotels, shops and restaurants and is mainly renowned for its beautiful lagoon and fabulous seafood, including the famous Oualidia Oysters. Here we feature the stunning La Sultana Oualidia, a five star hotel with a first-class restaurant and Spa – perfect for guests looking for a luxurious getaway.
Further south is Agadir, and with its enviable climate and over three hundred days of sunshine a year, it is understandable why it has become a popular Moroccan resort. Sadly in 1960, Agadir was devastated by an earthquake and was completely rebuilt, thus making it a more modern town in comparison to other regions we feature, but perfect for those looking for a little winter sun. In Agadir you will find a beautiful, sheltered sandy beach over twenty kilometres long, and many cosmopolitan hotels, restaurants and shops, especially around the newly built marina.
We have an eclectic mix of accommodation on the Atlantic Coast, from the charming little riads in Essaouira, to villas with pools in nearby Sidi Kaouki and opulent hotels in sleepy Oualidia and vibrant Agadir, the Atlantic Coast is a delight to visit all year round, and ideal with combining with a few nights in Marrakech and/or the High Atlas Mountains.
