Istron Bay is a well-established hotel ideally situated on its own stretch of beach on the gently shelving shores of the Gulf of Mirabello in Eastern Crete.

With 114 rooms and 27 separate bungalows, Istron Bay is a little larger than most of the more boutique hotels we offer, however, we think it suits our portfolio perfectly, thanks to the facilities on offer, wonderful cuisine, beautiful location and exemplary service from the friendly team at the hotel.

All of the rooms are simply, yet tastefully decorated with an en-suite bathroom and balcony or terrace with beautiful sea views, some are perfect for couples, whilst the larger suites and apartments can sleep up to 5 guests, making them a perfect choice for families.

The hotel boasts a large swimming pool and separate children’s pool surrounded by 2 acres of gardens bursting with colourful hibiscus, bougainvillea and palms, or for sea lovers, there is a private beach stretching 600m to enjoy, with a combination of pebbles and sand gently shelving into the crystal clear waters.  There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols to relax in comfort, and for the more active, an abundance of water sports on offer such as pedaloes, canoes, banana boat rides and some fantastic diving opportunities.  There are also floodlit tennis courts, billiards, table tennis, cookery lessons, wine tasting to ensure that there is never a dull moment!

When it comes to dining, guests are spoilt for choice; the hotel offers half board basis and a buffet breakfast and supper are included in the main restaurant; with a huge spread of both Greek and international dishes, main courses of the evening meal are served by the friendly waiters to your table.  Istron Bay also boasts a pool bistro for light snacks throughout the day, a beach bar, and also an a la carte restaurant, ‘Meltemi’ which offers various special menus accompanied by live music on most evenings.

Istron Bay is a delightful hotel for all ages, and has a longstanding fan base who return year after year in the knowledge that the charming team will ensure a relaxing stay in a beautiful spot, plus it really is, in our opinion, fantastic value for money!
