Deniz Feneri Lighthouse has long been regarded as the finest waterfront property on the Kas peninsula and is one which the Discerning Collection is proud to be associated with. Built in 2006 by the charming owners, Turan and Gülgün, 2018 ushered in a new era for the boutique hotel which re-opened after a complete refurbishment and under the new team delivering the key ingredient of the Discerning Collection philosophy with regard to management and service.
It has an intricate design of natural stone buildings with paths leading from the reception area through a series of pretty terraces – past several pools, garden terraces and impressive palm trees to the private beach club below.
The short trip to Kas, with its excellent shops, restaurants and cafes, is accessed by the local dolmus which runs hourly. If you prefer to dine in, the hotel has a fantastic bar and restaurant, a fabulous place to dine with fresh, locally produced dishes whilst taking in the utterly breathtaking sea views. One of the regions best-reputed chefs has been resident at Deniz Feneri for several years and we are delighted to confirm that he remains in situ . The cuisine is predominantly Turkish created from local, seasonal ingredients. Languid breakfasts taken on the stone terraces are a highlight, with views across the sea and up into the gorges of the Taurus mountains. Feast on seasonal fruits, olives, yoghurt, home-made breads, pancakes, honey and cheeses.
Following the extensive renovation of all rooms, the waterfront, restaurant and grounds – together with the general infrastructure – last summer saw Deniz Feneri Lighthouse return to the top of its game with truly excellent guest feedback for both the property and service alike.
Please note that due to the steep, hillside location and many steps, this property is not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
Deniz Feneri Lighthouse has a wonderful restaurant and bar, a fitness room and sauna and treatment rooms.
On a Monday they have a ‘fish night’ and on a Thursday a ‘barbecue night’, both are held at the waterfront restaurant (weather dependent).
Sea kayaks and snorkelling equipment are available free of charge for guests to explore the stunning bay.

The private waterfront at Deniz Feneri is one of the largest in coastal Turkey. It is reached by a cascade of steps albeit with several strategically placed rattan chairs, beanbags and hammocks to pause a while on route.
The standard double or twin rooms each have an ensuite shower room, and private balcony with sea views.

The slightly more spacious Lighthouse Rooms have a queensize bed (if double), divan seating area and a wonderful picture window that ensures guests have a glorious sea view no matter which room is chosen.

Similar in layout to the Lighthouse Rooms, the Lighthouse Deluxe rooms benefit from having a larger bathroom, with bathtub and separate shower cubicle and a large window to take in the stunning views while you have a relaxing soak.

The Sunset Suite is similar to the Lighthouse Deluxe rooms but benefits from an additional lounge area with sofabed suitable for a 3rd guest. It has an en-suite bathroom with bathtub and separate shower cubicle.
