Owned and beautifully managed by the charming and engaging Afroditi and Peter, this lovely hotel, with its lush gardens and cleverly designed rooms, is like an oasis in the sleepy village of Plati. It’s only 200 meters from one of Lemnos’ lovely sandy beaches and a 25 minute walk to Myrina, the unspoilt and traditional harbour town with its high quality restaurants and bars.

Like many of our properties, the hotel caters for families in the school holidays and is an ideal retreat during the months of June and September for those who want pure relaxation. All the rooms have been tastefully furnished and have all the modern conveniences required for a restful holiday: Air conditioning, satellite TV, free wifi, hair-dryer, bathrobes and slippers, the usual toiletries and beach towels. Whilst all rooms face the sea, only the first and second floor rooms have sea views. The ground floor rooms have, however, good sized terraces and are also suitable for disabled guests.

The breakfast area is tastefully designed with both outdoor and indoor seating. The bar and restaurant serve freshly prepared lunches with Peter often rustling up an impromptu barbecue when the mood takes him…which is quite frequently.

The pool is a decent size and there’s plenty of sunbathing space surrounding the pool and around the pretty, flower-filled gardens.

This is our first venture into Lemnos and we’ve chosen the Afroditi Villa as this is, in our humble opinion, one of the best run hotels on the island, with Afroditi and Peter as excellent hosts who pride themselves on the quality of the amenities and their second to none service.
